Potentials of the City of Bijeljina, plans for development, but also the problems faced by citizens of the City of Bijeljina, were the main topics of discussion between the Mayor Bijeljina Mićo Mićić and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Norwegian Embassy in BiH, Her Excellency Anne Havnør, during her visit to teh City of Bijeljina.

Mayor Mićić and his associates presented Mrs. Havnør some of the results of work of the City Administration achieved in the recent years, mainly in the construction of infrastructure, creating a business friendly environment and improving conditions in education at all levels, as well as the economic potentials of Semberija region:

- We have presented the Deputy Head of Mission of the Norwegian Embassy in BiH the plans for economic development and job creation, as well as our plans for the construction of the flood protection system. We want to keep the trend of development and increasing the number of inhabitants and therefore we are working on the development of Industrial zones and creation of new jobs. We sincerely hope to improve the Tourism Industry, so the City Administration through the development of infrastructure continuously supports the development of this industry - said Mayor Mićić, adding that the members of the delegation of the Embassy of Norway expressed satisfaction with the progress of Bijeljina and announced support for the projects of Civil Society development and similar projects that are already supported in cities and municipalities in BiH by the Embassy.
