At the traditional closing ceremony, known as the "Evening of Champions" of 83. International Agricultural Fair, held in Novi Sad, The City of Bijljina was awarded the gold trophy as the best foreign local community in fostering agribusiness.

- The City of Bijeljina has been a partner of Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad for many years, and every year we organize the visit of several hundred farmers. Also, every year, we present our agricultural and processing facilities, as well as the agricultural policy, at the our own stand or at the stand of Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce. This award is a confirmation of our commitment and motivation to continue expanding the agriculture production  in our city and I believe we deserved to get - said after the ceremony Bijeljina Mayor, Mićo Mićić.

International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad has been held from 14 to 20 May. 1,500 exhibitors from 60 countries present their products and services, while Italy was the partner country of the fair.
