Bijeljina Mayor, Mićo Mićić and Director of USAID / Sida GOLD Project, Gabriel Abraham, signed today the Agreement on the transfer of user license for the software LEDIS between USAID / Sida GOLD project and the Bijeljina City Administration.

In order to stimulate domestic and foreign investment USAID / Sida GOLD project has enabled the introduction of the Information System for Local Economic Development (LEDIS) in the Bijeljina City Administration. Bijeljina Mayor, Mićo Mićić said that the LEDIS softwer was a comprehensive, integrated and updated database and tools that would provide City Admnistration effective management of development resources, as well as providing relevant information to investors.

- This database will serve to all people who are interested in to build and create new businesses. The database will contain information on the possibilities and ways of investing in our city – Mićić said.

He announced that within the cooperation with the  USAID / Sida GOLD project, it is expected help related to the construction of infrastructure in the industrial zone 2.

- This project will contribute to economic development of the City of Bijeljina, and provide the creation of new jobs - the mayor Mićić said.

Growth-Oriented Local Development Project (GOLD) is funded by the USA and Swedish governments, aiming to develop the economy and local communities.
