Restored Sports hall in Primary School "Sveti Sava" in Bijeljina
In the Elementary School "Sveti Sava" in Bijeljina the Sports hall was reconstructed by the European Union funds within the program of support to reconstruction after the floods, implemented by UNDP BiH. In addition to the space for the conduct of physical education classes, the bathrooms and the cabinet for technical education and IT have been reconstructed. After the renovation, the sports hall will satisfy the needs for physical education for more than 1200 pupils in the largest elementary school in the City of Bijeljina.On this occasion, Head of Department for Social Affairs of the City of Bijeljina, Slavko Bašić, recalled that the renovation of this sports hall was part of a larger reconstruction project of school buildings in the City of Bijeljina damaged by floods, financed by the EU and implemented by UNDP:"The City of Bijeljina has actively participated in this project through coordination with schools and donors and provision of necessary project documentation. Thanks to the support of the European Union and UNDP, the school buildings have been restored in a short time and now students have conditions for normal learning and sports activities", said Bašić.
