Tonight, the renovated hotel „Drina“ has been officially opened, in the presence of numerous guests- among them were the President of the Republic of Srpska, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Srpska, the Mayor of Bijeljina,Mićo Mićić with his associates, businessmen, tourism workers and other who have contributed that the oldest hotel in Bijeljina shined again.

The Mayor Mićić reminded that the hotel „Drina“, since its opening in 1892, has been the brand of Bijeljina and that its reconstruction would give a new impetus to the development of tourism in Bijeljina:

- Reconstruction of the "Drina" means a lot for our city, due to the fact that Bijeljina has already recognized tourist offer and now, Bijeljina citizens and other guests have a place again that will be gladly visited. I would like to thank to investors who have invested money in the hotel reconstruction and in that way contributed to the development of Bijeljina. I'm sure it will be an investment to pay off, considering that the hotel will provide services at the highest level as evaluated with four stars, and there will always be interested guests - expressed his expectation Mayor Mićić.

The manger of „Drina“, Milica Vulović Koren stated that the hotel reconstruction cost more than five million convertible marks, and the significant resources were invested in the training of employees, which are currently 40 employees. Koren added that the hotel had 37 units- double rooms and deluxe suites, the first wellness center in Bijeljina and other facilities, and there were also excellent conditions for conference tourism.

The cultural- artistic program were organizes at the opening ceremony. - The miniature drama "Hotel Drina - Reception of the City of Bijeljina" played a dramatic artists Danka Žugić and Ivan Petrovic, a part of the musical program was provided by the soloist Lena Kovačević accompanied by a jazz orchestra.
