Young American Athletes Visit Bijeljina
A group of young male and female football players from the United States, along with their coaches who are staying in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of a sports exchange between the two countries, visited the Administration of the City of Bijeljina. This visit is reciprocal, considering that last autumn young athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, including footballers from Bijeljina's ‘Radnik’, Muhammed Medinić, and Jovana Lana Novaković from the Women's Football Club ‘Radnik Bumerang’, were on a study visit to American cities and clubs as part of the Youth Leadership through Sport program organized by PH International.
Although young athletes from cities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina stayed in America, only Sarajevo, Mostar, and Bijeljina were chosen for the reciprocal visit.
During the reception with guests from the USA and representatives of the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who also attended the reception, Radoslav Ostojić, an advisor to the mayor, discussed the functioning of youth and school sports in Bijeljina and American cities, as well as the state of youth organization in the area.
In addition to visiting the City Administration and the most famous tourist attractions in Semberija, American athletes also held a joint training session with their peers from FC ‘Radnik’.
