Section for culture, sport and physical education, and relations with religious communities performs the following jobs:
  • coordination of work with other departments and sections of City Administration and competent state authorities, organisations and institutions within the powers;
  • performing analyses, preparing information and reports related to culture, sport and physical education, and relations with religious communities;
  • preparation and processing of materials from City Assembly sessions, and taking responsibility for their quality;
  • cooperation with institutions dealing with culture, sport, and with religious institutions;
  • monitoring the work of institutions dealing with culture, sport clubs and organisations, and spending budget funds intended for regular and other activities;
  • participation in drafting normative and other documents passed by the City Assembly which are related to social affairs;
  • participation in preparation of draft general and other normative documents in the scope of work of the Department;
  • preparation of certificates on the facts officially recorded by the Section;
  • monitoring the condition and proposal of measures to improve condition in fields for which it is competent;
  • application and monitoring regulations and other documents within the scope of work of the Section;
  • participation in preparation of the City budget proposal;
  • preparation of reports on activities and implementation of the conclusions passed by City Assembly;
  • participation in preparation of Work Programme of the City Assembly, and preparation of Work Programme of the Department;
  • preparation of operational plans for the fields under the competence of the Section;
  • implementation of tasks defined by the City Development Strategy and other plans and programmes within the scope of work of the Section, and especially:
    • participation in the planning, gathering and submission of statistical and other data within the scope of work, preparation of situation analysis within the scope of work,
    • preparation of information from the scope of work needed for the preparation of City Development Strategy implementation plan and participation in its preparation,
    • monitoring projects implementation and preparation of information and reports concerning the progress of projects implementation within the scope of work,
  • other jobs ordered by the Mayor and the Head of Department, or other jobs placed in the scope of work of the Section by special documents.
