Mayor Petrović: Bijeljina is the world

Bijeljina Mayor Ljubiša Petrović and his adviser Miodrag Bešlić take part in the 25th International Economic Forum in Saint Petersburg. Invitation came from the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Mr. Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee.

Each year, the Forum has many participants from all over the world from the state and local levels, presidents of international organisations, representatives of multinational companies, leaders in economics, business and media. Participation in the Forum provides an opportunity to exchange ideas related to business, to sign important contracts, make cooperation and contacts with world businessmen and professionals in different fields.

“Bijeljina is the only local community in the Republic of Srpska to receive invitation, which is a clear indicator of its position, and the fact that the efforts to create a local community with zero corruption and crime rate, with a spirit of equality of all citizens, are not unrecognised globally. Our city, slowly but steady, is becoming an important place on the world map, with a clear perspective of a leader in economic and commercial development, not only in the Republic of Srpska and BaH, but also in the region,” said Mayor Petrović.
